If you think 9 trillion is a lot, those two programs, combined with Medicare have an unfunded obligations sum of 55 trillion. Then you have 16 trillion in US insurance guarantees and then the debt. It all goes to around 80 trillion USD. Peachy. This is why I am unsure on if I will stay in the USA after I will graduate there. I’m not willing to pick up the bill.
