* 7 posts appears this year that didn’t appear in the top 20 last year; 5 were first published in 2017 and 2 in 2016. The last 2 posts tied for the 20th spot.
This year more recent posts made the list than have in past years. Partially I think this is due to me writing fewer posts and those posts lasting longer on the home page and gaining more views. Also I think changes to the search algorithms reduced view to the top old posts and spread the views among more different posts.
Still, as with my other blogs the most popular posts show that old posts stay popular for a long time. This blog is actually the blog with the most recency bias. It makes sense that some of the posts here are based on data that gets less relevant as times goes on. Number of top 20 posts by year of publication:
2017: 5
2016: 3
2015: 3
2013: 1
2012: 3
2011: 2
2010: 2
2008: 1
